One card. Two dates to keep in view.
A first Labourer card issued from 1 February 2025 lasts two years. Later renewals can run for five years. Use the printed expiry, rather than estimating it from an issue date.
CSCS says a previous Labourer card expired by more than one year needs an appeal with evidence of labouring work. The calculator shows that boundary. It does not calculate an appeal deadline: the cited guidance does not state one.
An expired card stays expired throughout the renewal window. Date calculations do not confirm eligibility, extend validity or guarantee site access. Qualifications, evidence and test requirements still apply. Plan renewal before expiry and confirm your application with CSCS.
